3 Year-old Pre-school

So here are a few pics of Hayden on his first day of 3 year-old pre-school. He actually goes just down the street from our house. It is nice that it is so close.

This is Hayden walking in his walker and checking out the rocks in front of our house before it's time to go to school. He actually gets around pretty good.

This is Hayden's birthday cake for his 3rd birthday. He couldn't believe it when he saw it! He loves "Memo and Dori".

This is just a pic of my cute boy and his afro. He is extremely proud because he just lined up all of his cars that he had and that Grandma Suzie gave him for his birthday! He loves to line them up and then crash them all.

This is Hayden at the Zoo with a friend. They are sharing a drink of water together. It was so cute and so funny to see them taking turns. What little cuties.

Well, too many pics and too little time. I have a few more that I want to post but I started this like 2 weeks ago and never finished. We just did more Botox and Phenol and they did something that helped him out after since we had some problems last time when they did both injections. It took like 2 hours longer but was well worth it. I got a little nervous with the extra wait and the small problems but the drs and nurses were so on top of it that the second time that he woke up it was like he just woke from a nap or something. It was much better and I was sure that he was not in pain or anything. It was amazing what the second round of pain meds and anethesia did for him. No matter how small. I was worried when they put him back to sleep and needing the blowby O2 but it worked like a charm. I just had no idea that the Phenol could hurt him so much. It is good to know. The drs came out in the hall where I was waiting and I had a few questions and they sat down with me and drew me a picture and explained more to me about the meds and how they worked. It is amazing how far medicine has come.

I hope that our health care does not change too much since we enjoy the specialists and all that they do for Hayden and his quality of life. Is socialist systems he would be written off even though with a lot of work and help now will bring a huge payoff later in life. I better get off that topic!

He really is doing well and he is speaking well which is great. He is not quite where he should be with speach but he is making a lot of progress which is great.

Hope to update sooner!

How Time Flies!

Bridger 2009. Beautiful again!

It has been a long time since I have posted anything but this summer has seemed so busy. Hayden will be starting 3 year-old preschool soon!

So the main things that have changed would be our home has grass and feels more like a real yard. We will plant trees, shrubs, and flowers etc. next year.

Hayden is sure growing up. He loves to go to Nursery now and is usually the only boy with 5-6 girls. So no competition with the cars and such. Sometimes another little boy comes. I am still the choister and still don't quite know what I am doing. I guess that is why I am still there.

Hayden goes a lot of places in his walker now. Just watch out!!! He will run you over or run into you. Sometimes he goes around but when he has an agenda just be careful.

He is starting to say so many words now. It is amazing! In just a few months he went from a handful of words to repeating almost everything you say! He will say little sentences on his own or copy yours. He started doing this thing "Oh it's cute" then "Oh cool", then "Oh poor..." and now after the poor one he will say it's sad". It really is funny because he is so animated and showy about it. If they had awards for kids acting he would win first place. Even at some Dr appts. if I tell him no on something he will put on this show and the other moms there will say that is so sad and feel awful because he is such a great actor!

He loves watching different shows and is now enjoying certain parts more. He likes his favorite parts and will laugh so hard it is too funny.

When we went camping this year he loved walking around in his walker (don't have pics or videos of that since I was trying to keep him safe), playing with his cousins, the animals that he saw, the lake, the fire, and going home> . We only went for a few days but the night before we were going home he wanted to leave and kept saying "seats buckle". From his little einsteins show they say "seatbelts buckled".

We also went to Lagoon and he rode some bumper cars and the train and the rattlesnake rapids. We did have to wrap up his casts so they didn't get wet. He did have fun and enjoyed sitting on the bench like a big boy. It has been a fun and crazy summer so far.

Hayden is growing up so fast and will be three soon. I just can't believe it. Hopefully I will keep this updated.

Lots of Fun!

Just my cute boy in the tub. I realized that we never took a tub pic of him yet. You have to have a few of those!

This is Hayden and his Easter Basket.

This is Hayden waiting to leave for our fun day at Hogle Zoo! We took a week off of work and we were planning on leaving town but decided to take a staycation instead of a vacation. So we stayed at home and hung out and did some fun family activities. Like going to the Zoo, going to Tracey Aviary, seeing a movie (which he slept through) and visiting my family in Logan.

This is Hayden and Jared at the elephants. Hayden's favorite! He loved watching the elephants eat and cool off. He still loves the giraffes too.

I guess that this says what a good time he had. So tired he tried to play and just zonked out! He has gotten so big! I knew that he would grow but sometimes when I look at him and think of how he started this life it is truly amazing that he has come so far!

Well, things are settling down here after moving and having some family events so hopefully I can do better than one blog every few months! If anyone still checks this.

Whew!

So no new pics, camera is still packed away somewhere. We have moved into our home and are getting things all situated. We have been here for almost a week! Hayden has added a few new words to his vocab. Bye and Moo. Sometimes he gets embarrassed with the moo so he covers his mouth when he says it. Things are going well just a little crazy and unorganized still. But we are getting closer. Hope that all is well and that I can get some fun pics of the little man. He seems so big! I just can't believe how fast kids grow, and not just size. He is growing up! I told a friend at work the other day that some of the stages that kids go through go so fast but since we are hearing from the doc's and pt's what they are and what should happen it seems that we notice them more. Also since Hayden is a little behind it is like he is holding out the stages a little longer for us to enjoy. So nice of him! Anyway, that is all that is new so far. I might get to stay with him in toddler class tomorrow to help him not feel so anxious and worried. I am excited because I think that I feel a little anxious and worried myself. It will be fun to see what goes on and how he does.

Our Carpet is in!

So I know it is dorky to have that many pictures of carpet but I was excited. Anyway, we are that much closer.

House Update

So here is our shower with the fixtures in.

Here is the front door, they stained it and I think it looks real good.

This one is just a little look at what the two-tone looks like that we decided at the very last minute to do!

This is just of the ovens because I am so excited and now I will have no excuses!

And just another look at the kitchen.

We are getting carpet put in today so hopefully I will be able to sneak some pics. Everything is moving along quickly and we should be moved into the home in just a few weeks! Well that is if you don't count all the trial an error we will have. Always happens to me at a new place. I think that things are in a great spot then I change my mind! It will be fun, I will have so much space that I am not sure what to do with myself or my stuff. I am sure that I will want to collect even more stuff.

My Big boy!

So I haven't taken any pictures since it has all been too traumatic and he won't go in with his walker so I have to carry him but Hayden has started Toddler class! He just goes once a week for 1 & 1/2 hours! I can't be there and have to drop him off, promise to come after snack and reassure him for a minute then I have to leave! I think that it is hard for me too. I must be a wimp!

Anyway, the first time he cried most of the time but was complient with what they were doing. The second time he started screaming when I dropped him off and got in his walker and headed for the door! Then after a little while he was calming down. I came back to get a quick peek and he was standing at a table with other kids and doing the activity they were doing. No tears, no red eyes or anything. He was having a good time!

Both times when I have come to pick him up he was happy to see me but not at all distressed. I am not sure if the other kids (4 of them) are the normal developing kids or what but they can all walk on their own and some of them are talking well. They have little goals for Hayden to meet and work on those. Of course he does stuff there that I try to get him to do at home and he won't! We were working on colors the other day then at Toddler class he said "red" and was trying to say yellow. But not for mom! Anyway, this is good practice for pre-school!

We have only been twice but we will go most every Friday (unless they are off or have a teacher prep day) until he turns 3 so for six months. It has been good so far and they will help him develop skills that are a little harder for him right now and being with other kids will be good to so he can watch them and learn to play well with them and maybe this will help his vocabulary!

He makes little pictures and it is fun to see what he has done and of course I put it up on the fridge! It is weird to say that he is going to school but he is. Still the night before and the morning of class I talk to him about it and how much fun it will be and try to be excited by each time I say it I can't believe that I am saying it. My little boy is growing up so fast! The picture is even old, in 6 months he will be a big 3 year old! And of course he still has the fro! We trim it down but after his last pictures we found out that his hair curls so we let it grow and curl into a little blonde fro!

I think that this is the latest. I am better with my facebook that I am with my blog! I just need to take more pics.

New House update

So here is our fireplace with fire!

Here is our island with the countertops.

The island again.

Here is where the fridge and the ovens and cooktop and microwave will all be.

So the house is coming along and we hope to be in around the first of March!

Hayden and Tiles

So this is from Grandma Suzie! She lets Hayden watch a video on her bed with her. Now at home he wants to watch a video on our bed. But he is a cute little guy and spoiled so here he is!

Here are a few shots of our entry and kitchen tile. I guess I should go back and see if the bathrooms are done! I think that this will look nice when it is all together. I get nervous picking out colors but it is fun.

Anyway this is what we are up to. Hayden is doing more serial casting and you can tell that it bugs him a little because he get frustrated faster and easier. But he really is doing well. Hope all the stuff happening here with the government and the cut backs we will still have his programs that seem to really be helping out so much. I am a little nervous about that but we will survive.

Another home update!

So just some more pics of our home.
So here is one view of the great room, from the kitchen to the family with our fireplace back in there.
and here you see the true color of the paint (frontier tan) and this is looking to the kitchen.
Here is another view of the font door. I must be obsessed with it. So I really like it and Jared is not a fan of the light trim and wanted it to match the stain. That would be nice I think.
Here is a better view of our mantle. So other than the surrounds this is about it for that area.

They are putting the tile down now. They started getting the floor ready on Friday. We are very excited. They also got the gas line in so it is very warm in there.

Things here are going. Hayden will get some more botox this week and maybe get serial casted again since it worked so well last time. Jared and I are doing the same old thing and just trying to get the things done for the house that we need to.

Happy Valentines day! It is coming up here soon. Who knows when I will post next.

Christmas 08

So here are a few pics from our christmas. It is true, that when you see Christmas through a child's eye you enjoy it more. I never took the time I guess. I know that there is a lot more to Christmas than gifts but the innocent joy of it all is amazing and is at the heart of the true Christmas Spirit. Anyway here are some pictures of Hayden ejoying Christmas.

Here is his favorite toy puppy. He barks and licks and kicks his leg when he is happy. Best of all mom and dad don't have to clean up after him!

Here is Hayden and Dad enjoying a new book.

He sure had fun opening gifts this year.

And his neat basketball hoop from Santa. This kid is not spoiled or anything. This one actually helps out with his therapy!

We had a good time this year and focusing on the true meaning of Christmas always makes the season better. This year we were able to spend Christmas with almost all of Jared's family and I must say that is where you can find your greatest joy is with family. It was a great year and it was hard to have everyone go. Quite a few people got sick so that was not fun but the time that was spent together was good. There was a lot of games being played, stories told (maybe a little embellished), and memories made. I always seem to forget my camera at these things and there was a lot I hope that I remember.

Also some family that lived near-by moved across the country after Christmas. I didn't realise that they were really going, at least not how it would feel to not have them close. I usually do that and I am so excited for them but I miss them already. Hopefully the whole family will get together soon again for a good celebration.

Hope that all of you had a great Christmas and that this year is the best yet!

Love the Cranes
