October
So it has been almost a year since have updated this! Hayden is doing well but grew a little to fast this past August and is now throwing us into a new world. I kinda thought that I had everything down, injections 3-4 times a year followed by serial casting and physical therapy. We are now looking at surgery. Not sure when or which one but we have to do something drastic to help him make a difference.
Hayden is in 4 year old preschool and likes it. Well, doesn't like going but likes being there. He still loves quoting things and his latest is "The Princess and the Frog" he goes around asking if you want to kiss the frog or uses his new pick-up line "pretty nice sherrie".
One of his cousins just got married in the Idaho Falls Temple and we were able to go up. He got to sit in the Temple Foyer for a little while and did not want to leave. I think he knew what a special place it was. He told his cousing that she looked like a princess and she had such a beautiful dress! It was cute. He kept trying to say that he was the prince. It was funny. Then the next morning he saw the wedding cake on the table and said to me "mom, should we go over by the cake so I can taste it?" We were all laughing so hard. He kept saying how everything was so delicious.
My dad ended up in the hospital for a 4-way by-pass and I had Hayden make a card for him. Just a little get well card but Hayden said no it was a Valentines card. So we had to draw and color in hearts. I figured that would work since it was his heart that needed to get well. He is doing better every day and should go home soon. Maybe tomorrow. They were just going in to see why he was coughing so much and not able to sleep and the ended up cracking him open. Anyway, glad he went and can start getting better.
So a lot has happened this year so far, zoo visits, hair cuts, easter egghunts, a birthday, singing with Elvis, supergoof time (super hero), pirate dress up from school, fun in the pool and sprinklers, etc. It has been another busy and fun year so far. Hopefully I can remember how do to the slide show and get some pics up there. I don't think that our fun is over yet, I hope the rest of this year is happy, fun and magical for Hayden. He sure is a blessing and miracle in my life and keeps me on my toes. So glad he a part of our family.

Holidays
Wow, I haven't updated for such a long time. I will try to make a sild show of the pics because there are just to many. Hayden still loves his pre-school but has been sick enough to miss school most of the winter. Probably just allergies but you never know.
The Holidays were great and we got to meet a new baby in the family for the first time and Hayden loved her! He always wanted to be where she was or where the cousins were. He had fun with that. He got the whole present thing down pretty good this year and who Santa is, I guess that I should focus more on the real meaning of Christmas. Fortunatley he has some good Christmas books that help. He started taking a few steps on his own and that is exciting! He even had an ear-infection too. He can take several steps now and loves to keep practicing.
We recently took him to Primary's for an Intrathecal Baclofen Test which after the 1 hour of pure torture on poor Hayden all went well. He is a candidate for the pump but they don't want to implant that yet since he is doing well with the Botox and Phenol injections. Not sure if I want to do the pump or not. Apparently if the Baclofen in the pump runs out or the tubing gets disconnected and we don't give him oral Baclofen as soon as we notice then it could be fatal. I just don't think that sounds great.
Hayden will get some more injections on friday and then we will start back up with the Physical Therapy and serial casting. We are also meeting with a new Speech Therapist and Occupational Therapist. So all of that and the stuff up at Primary's and School and every-day life keep us busy. It is good to be busy, but sometimes when I can just sit I do. There is always something that needs to be done. Oh, and the things we have been working on with speech Hayden is starting to do himself so that is great! He is still behind but he is always progressing. He is very motivated and he keeps practicing and trying. If he didn't this would all be a different story. Last night he kept saying "I running" and trying to walk from A-B as quickly as possible! He is funny. Well, except when he tips our plant over and gets the dirt everywhere, mouth clothes, carpet. Unless it just got watered and became mud. I think he likes the mud better! Hopefully he will not do that again!
Maybe I won't wait so long to update. Seems like I am forgetting something. This is kind of like a family journal! Good to write down things that have happened and are new so we can look back and remember. As for now, Jared and I still both have our jobs (which in this economy is amazing), and we are all doing well. That to me are some pretty big things now. When some loved ones are going through some really tough things and after what happend in Haiti, we are extremly blessed. I try to imagine that kind of devastation here and I really think that is impossible. You have to experience that first-hand. Some of the footage and pictures I have seen help me realize how great we have it. There is much to give thanks for and much to be done for others. Sorry but that devastation and the problems still happening there occupy my thougts a lot. Anyway, I better stop before I really get started. Hope that the video works. Too many pics to only post a few.
