Where to Begin

Hi everyone. Life sure seems to go by quickly and I would like a better way to stay in touch. So we will try to keep our updates posted and hopefully keep in better touch. I also want to share pictures of Hayden since he is growing so fast and is so cute!

Anyway, not much new at the moment. Jared is working for Frito Lay now and he has been given his own route now and it is partly in Herriman and Riverton. That makes him close to home and is great. He just started that and so far things are going well.

I (Liz) am still working as a Pharmacy Technician by night for Smith's and about a year ago was able to transfer to Herriman so with gas prices as they are and time with family so precious it is great to be close to home. Well, home for now. Who knows what the future will bring.

Hayden is doing awesome! He is really making progress and keeping us busy. He is wanting to walk so badly now and it is fun to see him try. One of his physical therapists got us a walker for him and he uses it sometimes and it is fun for him to feel independent. He can almost run on his knees with a push toy, the walker, or a laundry basket. We found out that the prefered push toy however is the laundry basket!

I know that we have not told everyone and mostly because we don't want to seem like we are complaining or whatever but Hayden has Cerebral Palsy, a little in his arms but mostly in his legs. It is amazing though how well he is doing. The doctors think that he will walk before he is 5 which from what I have heard Iwill enjoy this extended not walking time while trying to help him walk! He has had a series of injections in his legs and then grew! So it will soon be time for more. It truly is amazing what can be done for this condition! Also, it is amazing that we have been blessed with this miracle!

Hayden seems to have a little devil on his shoulder. I am not sure where the angel is but he loves to do things he is told not to. Also he still loves to pull my hair but gives me a kiss and then pulls and repeats! So he is working the system already! He loves to talk and to get you to repeat him or his actions and will laugh so hard. Sometimes when playing with his toys he cracks himself up and it is fun to watch.

He watches a little TV. He loves songs so when they come on he stops playing and watches and smiles. Sometimes he looks to me to sing a-long. I know I am a succer. His favorite right now is the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and loves to see Mickey come over the hill. His face brightens up and he is so happy.

Well, I am sure that this is way too much but it is a family blog so.....
